Effective Successful Resolution
A graduate of the University of Southern California, I began practicing law in 1997. I am licensed to practice law in California and Georgia.
I spent my legal career litigating in a variety of practice areas including:
entertainment, product liability, coverage, legal malpractice,
contracts and general civil litigation.
I am proud to be part of the team of distinguished neutrals at
MILES MEDIATION & ARBITRATION as well as a
panel member for the Fulton County ADR office.
After many years in the courtroom, I came to realize that litigation was not always in the best interest of my clients. Litigation is draining with no guarantee of the outcome. Alternative Dispute Resolution and mediation allows clients their "day in court" while still affording them an actual say in the, cost, outcome and settlement of their case.
Alternative Dispute Resolution became a calling. I realized I would be more successful and fulfilled by pursuing a career in ADR and helping people find solutions to their disputes. In 2004, as part of the Los Angeles Superior Court ADR pilot program, I trained with the Pepperdine Strauss Institute for Dispute Resolution and began my mediation practice. After moving to Georgia, I continued my education and training in alternative dispute resolution. I am a Georgia Registered Neutral and Arbitrator for Civil and Domestic cases.
On personal note, I am the mother of three (Jordan, Kayla and Siena) and have been married for 19 years. I also have two fantastic rat terriers
(Dexter and Trigger). I am a huge sports fan and often joke that
"football is my first religion." I love scuba diving, skiing, poker and
spending time with family and friends.
Mediation is a confidential process that allows parties to take control of the outcome of their dispute and potentially end litigation. It is a voluntary and private process in which a neutral party (the mediator) facilitates negotiation and resolution of the parties' dispute.
Mediation is most successful when the parties and attorneys come prepared.
There are several ways to prepare for mediation. For my suggestions please see section on How to Prepare.
